About the Lutheran Student Center
The Lutheran Student Center is a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, serving college students in Cedar Falls, Iowa. We strive to be a Lutheran place in the midst of college life, encouraging community, spiritual growth, and service.
We are a location—an Old Victorian House at the corner of College and University in Cedar Falls, but we are also an ever-changing community of students engaging each other and the world.
We are a ministry of transition. Students passing through the Lutheran Student Center go on to vocations around the world, serving God in a variety of ways- Future teachers, computer programmers, pastors, and more pass through the Lutheran Student Center, living out their Christian vocations in transition, on their way to lives of faith in new ways and in new places. Every year we welcome a new group of freshman and say good-bye to a class of seniors, off to new ventures in new places.
Along this journey we are a community of faith. We worship together, we eat together, we play together, and we serve together, often making connections that last a lifetime.

Join other UNI students on the LSC’s annual Spring Break mission trip. Previous destinations for our mission work have included Guatemala, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Community Events
La Vida -- Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 8:00 – Midnight the LSC offers free coffee drinks, Smoothies, Italian Sodas, cookies at La Vida, our FREE coffee house. Students come and get free refreshments while listening to live music and working on homework.
Movie Nights, Game Nights, and MORE!!! The LSC Host various events throughout the year including movie nights in our new movie room (Popcorn included!), our annual Holiday Gala, and game nights.
