LSC Alumni

The Lutheran Student Center started out in 1922 as an association of Lutheran students at what was then called Iowa State Teacher’s college. We have been serving a steady flow of students ever since.

Times have certainly changed, typewriters and rotary phones have been replaced by laptops and mobile phones and letters from home have been replaced by a steady stream of text messages. Still in other ways things have not changed. Back in 1922 the Lutheran pastors in Cedar Falls realized that college students needed special attention at this significant point in their lives, they still do.

Ministry to college students will change, that is a certainty. What is clear is that we will continue to find ways to Minister to students in this life stage in the years to come.
